MAKING AN APPOINTMENT/SCHEDULE A FITTING
We would love to schedule an appointment with you! Choosing your wedding dress is a big deal, so we make it a completely relaxing, fun and hopefully stress free experience. Appointment times are Saturday from 11 am - 6 pm, and we can also offer after work appointments Monday - Wednesday.  Please email us at info@francis-bridal.com to book an appointment.
Our appointments last approximately one to one and a half hours and during that time we will help you find your perfect dress! This gives you enough time to try on anything from the collection and any of our accessories. If you already have the shoes and/or underwear that you intend to wear on the big day then please bring them. Please let us know which styles you are particularly interested in so we can make sure they are available for you to try at the fitting. For more info about fittings please read this blog post 

HOW MANY PEOPLE CAN I BRING TO MY APPOINTMENT?
As much as we love the idea of a party in our bridal lounge, we believe that your fitting should be as chilled out as possible. We want the focus to stay on you and what style and feeling you want to exude on your wedding day. We’ve found that sometimes too many opinions can be overwhelming, and we don’t wish stressful shopping upon any of our brides! For your sake, we advise keeping your support crew under 3 and for our sake, so that we can comfortably accommodate everyone in our bridal lounge.

DO I NEED TO BRING ANYTHING TO MY APPOINTMENT?
Aside from your lovely self, please bring any underwear (preferably nude!) and shoes that you’re considering wearing on your wedding day.

IS THERE AN APPOINTMENT CANCELLATION POLICY?
Please give us at least 48 hours notice if you need to cancel or re-schedule your fitting. Since we are appointment only, we can take in a very limited amount of brides each day.

SIZING
We use the UK standard sizing system and all styles can be ordered in sizes 8 - 16. If you are between sizes or a different size top to bottom, we suggest you order a size up. Plus sizes are available on request. If you are unsure of your size, and can't come into the bridal lounge for a fitting, please email us on info@francis-bridal.com with your bust, waist and hip measurements. We can also organize a Skype session to explain it all or even take the measurements with you. You can refer to our sizing guide (located below) or email us at info@francis-bridal.com for any questions or concerns.
Francis Bridal is not responsible for inaccurate size ordering, or an incorrect size due to a customers change in size during dress production. 

All of our range is made-to-order, which means we do not begin constructing your garments until after you order them. If you are unsure of your size please send us your measurements and we will help you find which category best fits you. (We highly recommend you take your measurements before ordering.)

Our dresses are not custom made to your measurements and might require some alterations to fit perfectly. Alterations are not included on the price in our standard size dresses. For sizing information, please check our size chart below.

ALTERATIONS
Most dresses will require some alterations for a perfect fit. We do not offer this service in-house, and highly recommend that you take your dress to a seamstress who specializes in bridal if you wish to have it altered. If you live in the London area, we can also recommend a seamstress who is familiar with our collection.

CAN I HAVE MY ORDER IN TIME FOR MY WEDDING / SPECIAL EVENT?
Please allow up to 16 weeks for delivery. Each piece is made to order in our London atelier. We do not stock any items, and orders are processed in the order they are received. If you are in a rush and need a dress sooner, we are here to help if we can. Ask us! If we can, we will! However, additional charges will apply. Email us at info@francis-bridal.com

WHERE ARE YOUR DRESSES MADE?
All of our range is made to order in London.

DO YOU MAKE ANY REFUNDS OR EXCHANGES?
As all of our garments are made to order, we cannot provide a refund on the garment once the process has started. After your payment, we order all your fabrics, which takes up to three months. Therefore, we ask for 16 weeks advance in ordering to be able to guarantee delivery of your garments (unless otherwise specified). All items undergo high-grade professional quality control to ensure fabrics and manufacturing are of the highest standard. In the unlikely circumstance of a manufacturing fault, items can be returned for a replacement or repair. In the case of a manufacturing fault we must be contacted within 7 days of your receipt of the item, with the item returned within 14 days (overseas buyers 21 days) in their original condition, with packaging and labels intact.

HOW DO I STORE / CLEAN MY ITEMS?
Proper storage of wedding gowns is very important to ensure that the original appearance of the gown is preserved and that damage is prevented. The delicate laces, embroideries, trims and embellishments need expert care to avoid damage. Veils and delicate tulle should never be ironed, but a steamer may be used to release wrinkles. It is important to select a storage area that is cool, dark, dry and free from heat, moisture and insects. We will supply all local brides with a breathable garment bag. Please ensure you keep your gown in this bag before and after the wedding for preservation. We suggest having your gown dry-cleaned prior to storage as watermarks and perspiration can yellow over time. We highly recommend that you choose a qualified dry cleaner to professionally hand wet clean, or expertly dry clean all Francis Bridal wedding dresses. We will be more than happy to point you in the right direction of our recommended dry cleaners if you are in the London area.

CUSTOM
We love custom dresses! Our prices start from £2,500 and sometimes it is possible to bring the price down if we can use our existing patterns. If you would us to make a custom dress for you, please email us on info@francis-bridal.com

I AM HAVING TROUBLE IMAGINING THE FABRICATION OF THE DRESS. CAN I ORDER SWATCHES?
If you would like to see swatches from your favourite styles, email us at info@francis-bridal.com with your address and which pieces you're interested in. We will send the swatches out to you asap!

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN MADE TO ORDER AND MADE TO MEASURE?
Made-to-order means that there is no stock of your dress and the making of the dress begins once you place your order. The most important thing to note is that made-to-order dresses are ordered to the closest dress size based on your measurements. The dress is not made to your body measurements (which is referred to as "made-to-measure"). In order to achieve the perfect fit, you may need the assistance of a seamstress or tailor.

UK: Royal Mail special delivery guaranteed by 1pm next day £14. Cannot deliver to PO Boxes. Signature required upon delivery. For queries or special requests please email us.

EU: Royal Mail International Tracked: £16.65. Takes 3 - 5 working days. Cannot deliver to PO Boxes. Signature required upon delivery.

Australia, New Zealand, Pacific: Royal Mail International Tracked & Signed: £24.45. Takes 5 - 10 working days. Cannot deliver to PO Boxes. Signature required upon delivery.

Africa, America, Asia: Royal Mail International Tracked & Signed: £22.75. Takes 5 - 10 working days. Cannot deliver to PO Boxes. Signature required upon delivery.

Import duties and taxes will be charged in certain countries- if you are unsure if your country charges import duties and taxes you should contact your local customs office. All duties and taxes are payable by the customer.

We do not accept responsibility for missing parcels once the piece has been shipped out from our studio.

HOW DO YOU ACCEPT PAYMENT?
When you decide on the dress you want, you may make your full payment via our website by pre-order at check out or by emailing us at info@francis-bridal.com to set up payment.

ARE THERE THINGS FOR ME TO PURCHASE DURING MY VISIT TO THE ATELIER?
Yes! Most of our veils and belts are available to purchase during your visit.
